Therapeutic Exercises

If you have injured your back, neck, or any of your extremities, you should know that one of the most important parts of the rehabilitation process is exercise.

This process of exercise therapy is often time-intensive. Luckily for you, in addition to our elite chiropractic services, we also happen to have one of the premiere exercise therapy clinics in the state of Utah.

Exercise therapy is often a long, slow process, and it can be quite painful, but it is absolutely necessary to return to your former condition. While you may heal without it, you are unlikely to get back to where you were without carefully guided and monitored therapeutic exercises.

A typical exercise therapy regimen involves 3 things:

  1. strengthening and/or stabilizing exercises,
  2. stretching,
  3. and treatment to relieve pain and swelling.

While many of these therapeutic exercises will be performed in our office, we will also assign you tasks to perform at home in between sessions. This “homework”, so to speak, is as important to your recovery as the work you do at our office, and should never, ever be skipped.

The purpose of these exercises are numerous: to prevent further deterioration of muscles, to promote healing and joint health, to increase strength, stability, and to help protect from new injuries or the recurrence of old ones. Full recovery is a process, and if you stick with it you will be richly rewarded.
